Philadelphia independent newcomer Taylor Bright celebrates Christmas week with a #39 chart position on the Billboard dance club play chart for the week ending 26th December.
(Billboard Publicity Wire) December 14, 2009 -- The Billboard Christmas week charts have just been released, and mark the incredible further rise of 16 year old US teen sensation Taylor Bright’s “Striped Socks” to #39 on the Billboard dance club play chart.
“Striped Socks”, which is Taylor’s first record as an independent artist, has been making progress on the chart steadily over the last 4 weeks since its release. It has also been attracting support from club and radio DJ’s across the US and Europe. It was A&R’d by leading NYC DJ Mike Rizzo, and Co-ordinated by promotion agency MyMusicSuccess.
Simon Adams, co-founder of MyMusicSuccess said today, “It’s fantastic that “Striped Socks” is doing so well in the crowded Christmas market, as an independent artist it is no mean feat to break into the top 40 on a Billboard chart, but at this time of year it’s unheard of with so many releases on the market. I think that the catchy feel and good hook in the track has really caught the attention of the DJ’s, and the positive upbeat vibe of the record is just what the public want to hear right now…”
The incredible chart run wraps up a great year for Taylor, who has spent 2009 touring with the Camplified project, expanding her reach to Japan, and writing new songs for her forthcoming album. With A UK tour taking place in January, and a presence at the Midem music conference, 2010 looks set to be an even bigger year for Taylor Bright.
